Individual, Couple & Family Psychotherapy
I am a therapist trained in both family systems and contemporary interpersonal psychodynamics, with over fifteen years of experience working with children, adults, and couples. While the overall goal of this kind of work is to uncover -and subsequently understand- unconscious processes that impact patterns of relating, and thinking, which frequently bring people to seek therapy, no strategy fits all and thus every treatment is tailored to the individual.
I see the working relationship between the therapist and patient, as a collaboration, which can be used as a tool to explore and reflect on patterns and relationships outside of the consulting room. This process frequently increases insight, and can provide relief from suffering.
By focusing on what might remain just outside awareness, there is an opportunity to gain a greater sense of freedom from those recurring patterns of suffering that affect experience, behavior, and everyday life.
While I tend to see individuals, couples, and families on a weekly basis, I also see individuals on a more intensive basis and frequency. This allows for deeper work to address personality difficulties and other problems of living.
